Both at home and around the world today, Jetwing is one of the leading names in the tourism sector in Sri Lanka. Resorts of untold beauty and experiences that one treasures for life have become our Marque and we are indeed proud of the achievements we gathered and the loyalty and the love we have earned from our happy clientele across the globe.
The saga of Jetwing is one of classic entrepreneurship. In 1970, Sri Lanka, implemented a tourism master plan which marked its entry into the international tourism arena; Herbert Cooray, Jetwing’s late chairman and a contractor by trade, received an opportunity to be associated with the tourism sector, when he was called upon to construct a hotel in Negombo. He rose to the challenge and built a small property of 6 rooms catering to the ‘charter traveller.’
The Jetwing umbrella of companies caters to a wide variety of clientele, from basic needs to customised, personalised service; we understand and offer it all. Through our three main divisions, Jetwing Travels, Jetwing Eco Holidays and Jetwing Hotels we have emerged as one of the leading hotel chains and travel groups in Sri Lanka.
Our destination management arm, Jetwing Travels, specialises in organising professional conferences, as well as being accredited air line representatives, whilst Jetwing Eco Holidays caters to the ever growing demand for nature oriented travel experiences, having contracted with a variety of hotels that suit the needs of our discerning clientele.
Our luxury boutique hotels, Jetwing Lighthouse, Jetwing Beach, Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions and Jetwing Vil Uyana, all considered overambitious projects at the inception, are now flourishing properties which have received accolades and commendations both from within the industry and out.
Over the past four decades, Jetwing has remained committed to uplifting lives, developing communities, and engaging in sustainable practices to benefit the environment.
Sri Lanka is a land known and renowned for her rich biodiversity, from the elephant to the whale to the leopard and sloth bear. Through our resident naturalists, we seek to create awareness and educate guests, local communities and schoolchildren regarding the issues facing each species. With this in mind, in all our practices we never will directly market, promote, or endorse the use of animals – especially elephants as entertainment or at functions. Our approach is to discourage third parties to do so as well, to the best of our ability.
The Jetwing family is against cruelty towards life in any form, and we stand with you on this issue. Together, we can make Sri Lanka the home of hospitality for both man and nature
