Weather

The South of Sri Lanka generally experiences wetter weather than the North and Eastern regions of the island. And being on the Southern coastline of Sri Lanka, the weather in Galle tends to be warm and humid. During the day, the temperature ranges from 29°C to 31°C; whilst at night it is much cooler and with markedly more breeze, dropping to between 22°C to 25°C.

Being close to the equator a tropical climate can be enjoyed around the island and there are no clear seasons. Most of the country also experiences abundant to moderate rainfall that is generally well distributed throughout the year. Galle is at the outer perimeter of the ‘Wet Zone’ and therefore affected by the South-western monsoon during the months of June to October, but occasional showers can also be expected during the North-eastern monsoon during December to March. So at Era Beach by Jetwing, you can expect clear skies and bright days as rule, rather than the exception.
