Being close to the busy capital of the south, Jetwing Era Beach is very conveniently located indeed. With many modes of transport readily available, travel to Galle is fairly uncomplicated. Sri Lanka’s main motorway heading south, the ‘Galle Road’ is in fact adjacent to the hotel, and the scenic 170km drive to Thalpe from the airport follows this route all the way from Colombo – which is 130km away.

The small town of Thalpe is situated beyond the city centre of Galle, travelling further down towards Matara and just past Unawatuna – a very popular resort town on the South coast. All trains and buses heading to and from the Capital Colombo stop at Galle – even the express and intercity services to destinations further on. If you decide to choose this mode of travel, you can always arrange for a pick up from the nearest bus or train station. If not, you can opt to arrive in air conditioned comfort via an airport taxi arranged by the hotel at a very reasonable fare – and enjoy the scenic journey to Jetwing Era Beach in style.
