Being in the popular West coast of Sri Lanka, a visit to Negombo is certainly convenient. The Bandaranaike International Airport at Katunayake is just 16 km and an airport pick up is usually arranged. Jetwing Lagoon is just 7km from the Negombo city centre and close to the main highway from Colombo with easy access to public transport if you wish to use them. Public and private buses offer a frequent service to Negombo, as do metered taxi services, either from the airport or Negombo city centre. A regular rail service is also available from Colombo to Negombo and the special Airport train from Katunayake to Colombo also stops at Negombo.
