Being the central hub of the hill country and its major city travel to Nuwara Eliya is indeed as convenient as it is exciting. Around 188 km away from the Bandaranaike International Airport, you can opt for a long drive of around 5 hours through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the island passing hill country towns such as Kandy , Gampola ,Pussellawa to Nuwara Eliya – the hill capital of Sri Lanka.
The road is long and winding yet the astounding mountain vistas of lush green valleys of tea and the misty peaks rising majestically in the distance will keep you entertained all the way. There is no direct train service to Nuwara Eliya – the track built by the British from Colombo Fort to the hills however stops at Ambewela 6km away from the hotel.
A train ride is an experience well worth having to catch a glimpse of local life up country and admire the incredible views as they appear through the mists. Jetwing Warwick Gardens is 14km away from Nuwara Eliya at Ambewela, famed for its dairy farms. You can opt for a hotel pick up from Nuwara Eliya or settle for a local taxi for the short ride up to the bungalow.
