A Message from the Jetwing Family

As we approach the turn of the decade, we at Jetwing would like to reflect on the past year, the challenges it brought, and the opportunities it presented. Although the Easter attacks left an indelible mark on our community, country and the industry, it gave rise to deeper bonds and it has become a catalyst for a united nation.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to our loyal customers and dedicated associates without whom our successes over the course of the year would not have been possible. In these trying times it was heartening to have private organizations set aside their differences and come together to help rebuild trust in the Sri Lankan hospitality industry.

Shiromal Cooray, Chairman of Jetwing Hotels and Jetwing Travels said, “During the year, we saw the resilient human spirit rise above the inhumanity. We saw it in the people rebuilding their lives, the numerous others who helped those in need, our steadfast associates who, despite the circumstances, continued to provide the best of Sri Lankan hospitality and most importantly we saw it in our cherished guests who have stood by Jetwing and Sri Lanka in trying circumstances and gave us the strength and courage to return even stronger.”

“It was the fortitude, perseverance and solidarity shown among those in the hospitality industry that has allowed Sri Lanka to push through adversity and recover from the April attacks. As we move on to 2020, we only hope to serve our guests better, and see our country prosper,” said Hiran Cooray, Chairman of Jetwing Symphony PLC.

While once again thanking our stakeholders for their continuous support, there is still plenty to be achieved and we see next year lined up with many successes and great triumphs. Jetwing looks forward to the new year with hope, and confidence in the resilience of the nation and we wish you and your families a joyous festive season and a prosperous New Year.
