Royal Botanical Garden

Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, near Kandy, covers 147 acres and showcases diverse plant and animal life. Originally a royal pleasure garden established by King Wickramabahu III, it was transformed during British colonial rule, introducing global plant species and becoming a botanical garden of international importance.
