Buduruwagala

Carved into a towering rock in Sri Lanka’s Uva Province, Buduruwagala is home to the island’s tallest rock-cut Buddha statue, standing 15 meters tall. Dating to the 10th century, this serene figure is flanked by six others from Mahayana tradition.
