INSPIRATION
This historic home over 150 years was built by Reverend Oakley, who served as a dedicated missionary, and has since passed through generations of remarkable stewardship, later acquired by Sir Solomon Dias Bandaranaike in 1901. Jetwing Broomfield Bungalow has been the montane home of the Bandaranaike family, presently owned by Chandrika Bandaranaike, the first female president of Sri Lanka and her sister Sunethra Bandaranaike.
