Yala National Park
The Most Popular National Park in Sri Lanka
Yala National Park is not only the most visited, but also the second largest nature reserve in Sri Lanka. With a history of over 100 years, this famed sanctuary is the world’s best place to spot the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, majestic Sri Lankan elephant, and carefree sloth bear – all in their natural habitat within a single reserve. In addition to having one of the highest concentrations of leopards in the world, Yala National Park is home to over 40 other mammals and over 200 species of birds as well.
The entrance to Yala National Park is located just 10 minutes away from Jetwing Safari Camp. A dedicated safari jeep will be arranged for either a half or full-day visit depending on your request, where you will have the choice of starting before sunrise or towards the early afternoon. Snacks and refreshments will also be provided.
