Village Walk

Step from the hustle and bustle of big city life, turn off your mobile phones, and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of a traditional Sri Lankan village. Paddy cultivation is the occupation of most villagers and the pace of life is dictated by its growth. This walk will take you through serene paddy fields, five rustic villages, forests, teak plantations, grasslands etc. Along the hike you will be able to observe Sri Lanka’s varied and wonderful biodiversity, geography, cultural diversity, and lifestyles.
No Sri Lankan experience is complete without good, old-fashioned Sri Lankan food and you will be treated to a delicious traditional lunch at a village mid-way through the trek. For those with a culinary inclination arrangement can be made to have the food prepared in front of you to offer you insights to the methods and spices used to give our curries that distinctly Sri Lankan flavour.
